Wherever you are in your home search, whether you are just taking the first few steps or if you have done some shopping around, maybe viewed a few open houses or made a few calls to set up viewings;  I’m here to help you put your plan together and make the next steps as easy as possible.

It’s been demonstrated time and time again that when you work with a real estate professional it saves money, time and stress.  It’s my job to make your search for a dream home a smooth and successful one.

How I Will Work for You

When you secure my services as your real estate agent, I will apply my knowledge and connections with the Vancouver Island Market to help you find your ideal home quickly and make the experience as enjoyable and efficient as possible.  I will save you time by helping you set up parameters to zero in on what you need.  I’ll take the time to find out key information about the homes you are interested in so that we are setting up viewings for ones that really do suit you.  I’ll do the research so I can highlight which features make the home standout and which could be a cause for concern.

Once you have found a home that you want to make an offer on,  I will work with you to prepare a solid offer that gives you the best opportunity to close.   I will present the offer for you and I will be ready to negotiate should the need arise.  It’s important to note that when you don’t have your own real estate agent you would be negotiating directly with the seller’s agent, who is legally obliged to work in the seller’s best interests.  As your buyer’s agent, it is my job to do the same for you.  

My approach has always been to determine my client’s needs and work with them every step of the way to fulfil them.  I will do the same for you.

Qualities to Look for in Your Real Estate Agent

Your buyer’s agent should:

  • have a clear process in place that allows them to determine and understand your needs and goals
  • use a proven system that will help you find great options for a home without missing anything
  • be able to communicate the ins and outs of the home-buying process to you
  • have explanations for your questions and keep the lines of communication open so you feel that you have a partner in your home buying journey
  • belong to a brokerage that has a wide range of expertise and success in the local market
  • alert you to new listings, quickly, so you get the jump on those opportunities
  • be ready to inspect potential homes with you and provide information on them
  • advise you on the best price to offer for the home you want
  • prepare and present the offer and skillfully negotiate such things as price, conditions, closing dates, so you get the best deal possible
  • save you money and time by implementing your plan in an organized fashion
  • have a list of recommended vendors such as home inspectors and movers
